Resort: Levi

In the midst of unspoilt scenery in the Arctic wilderness lie the exotic Lappish resort of Levi. Renowned as Finland's best and most extensive ski area for both alpine and cross-country skiing, with fantastic snow sure skiing from November to May.

The accommodation standards are very high with good food, and attractions off the slopes warrant a visit in their own right. Be sure to try husky, reindeer or snowmobile safaris deep into the pristine forests; and don't forget a visit to meet Santa Claus is a must at any time - not just christmas! In the height of the winter the daylight hours are shorter and the temperatures a crisp dry cold; but skiing amidst the fells, with the mystical blue light of 'Kaamoa' and the prolonged rose-coloured dawns and dusks, will leave you with unforgetable images. There is a good chance of seeing the 'Northern Lights' too. By March the days are longer, temperature rise, and snow conditions are at their best. Whatever time you choose, we are sure you will enjoy the uncommercialised natural splendour of Lapland's skiing.

Resort attractions:Several lively bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
Many excursions: including to the famous Ice Hotel; snowmobile, husky and reindeer safaris; ice-fishing, Northern Lights, Lappish night, icelandic horseriding and a visit to meet Santa (available all season).
