OUR ARCTIC ADVENTURER package allows you to visit True Lapland for three, four or seven nights, with just your full-board accommodation at the Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando included. You are then free to choose from an exciting range of thrilling adventures in the True Lapland wilderness, all involving one or more nights spent in the great outdoors, staying in atmospheric wilderness cabins, before returning to the warmth and comfort of the Davvi Arctic Lodge.
3,4 & 7 NIGHT ITINERARY
Your Arctic Adventurer break includes full board at the Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando, Finnish Lapland. We have available threenight breaks from Gatwick, East Midlands and Manchester, four-night breaks flying from Gatwick and seven-night breaks flying from Gatwick, Bristol and Manchester. Flight times and transfer times vary. Your break includes full-board accommodation and loan of an all-in-one thermal suit and boots, with a choice of the following safari adventures (at extra cost):

Overnight Husky ExpeditionDuration: one and a half days
Price: £500 per person
A team of eager huskies waits to take you off on an adventure into Europe's last wilderness. As the paws of the dogs pound through the stillness and silence of the snowscapes, the safari brings you into unforgettable intimacy with nature. you'll take care of your team of dogs and help to prepare meals by the fire, as you spend one night in the heart of the forest in a wilderness cabin.
Overnight Snowmobile Safari
Price: £500 per person
Duration: Approx one and a half days
This modern form of transport will propel you throught the unspoiled wilderness at speed. You will cross frozen lakes and fells to arrive at the wilderness cabin which is to be your base for the night. After breakfast, you will venture out into the arctic tundra for the return leg of your journey heading for the warmth of the Davvi Arctic Lodge.
Husky & Snowmobile Safari
Price: £800 per person - Available with 7 nights only
Duration: Approx two and a half days
A wonderful oppurtunity to develop your Arctic skills, using both traditional and modern modes of transport. On this three-day adventure you will first ‘mush’ your own team of huskies through the Arctic landscapes, before the exhilaration of steering your own snowmobile as your expedition continues. You will spend two night in genuine wilderness cabins, before returning to the comforts of the Davvi Arctic lodge to complete your week’s holiday.
Arctic Triangle
Price: £1,500 per person - Available with 7 nights only
Duration: Approx three and a half days
Set out in to the Lapland wilderness at the controls of your own snowmobile, on a four day expedition that will see you explore the Arctic wilderness of the three Scandinavian countries, Finland, Sweden and Norway, staying in wilderness cabins in all three countries, before returning to the comfort of the Davvi Arctic Lodge.
Overnight Cross-Country Ski Safari
Price: £400 per person
Duration: Approx one and a half days
For those who desire a more vigorous experience, the overnight cross country ski expedition provides the perfect way of combining spectacular scenery and healthy Nordic exercise. You will stay overnight in a wilderness cabin where you will rest and recuperate by the warmth of the fire after supper. The following morning you will embark on the return to the Davvi Arctic Lodge, having witnessed first hand some of the Arctic’s most spectacular nature.
Please Note: Wilderness cabins are basic (without electricity or running water) and with outside WC but very atmospheric, especially in candlelight with diner cooking over a wood stove. Some have a wood-heated sauna.
With little light pollution, the cabins offer a great chance to glimpse the Nothern Lights.
You may have to share the wilderness cabin with other clients who have bookes the same excursion; Please remember the cabins do not offer private acconmmodation. What’s moe everyone is expected to join the evening activities, such as feeding the huskies or preparing hte dinner. It’s all part of the wilderness experience.
