Igloo Interlude

OUR COOLEST ARCTIC Spirit break offers a taste of the land of the Northern Lights ... with one memorable night spent in an igloo! Based at the Davvi Arctic Lodge hotel, in Karesuando, the highlight of your three, four or seven-night Igloo Interlude break will include the night you sleep in your very own ice and snow house deep in the wilderness. With all the comforts of a warm cabin at your igloo’s doorstep, this is a great way to experience a unique night’s sleep. During the rest of your stay, you will venture out into the Arctic wilderness on a Fell Viewpoint snowmobile safari and get an introduction to the ancient art of snowshoeing.

3,4 & 7 NIGHT ITINERARY

Your Igloo Interlude break includes full board at the Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando, Finnish Lapland. We have available three-night breaks flying from Gatwick, East Midlands and Manchester, four-night breaks flying from Gatwick and seven-night breaks flying from Gatwick, Bristol and Manchester. Flight times and transfer times vary. For your night in an igloo, you will be transferred after dinner by minibus and then by snowmobile sleigh through the silent wilderness, where your igloo awaits. But don’t worry: there is the back-up of a warm cabin, just in case you feel the chill. Before settling down for the night, there is time for a hot drink around the camp fire and even a visit to the nearby Ice Bar for a nightcap. In the morning, a basic breakfast is provided in the main cabin. Your break includes full-board accommodation, including one night spent in an igloo, the loan of an all-in-one thermal suit and boots, and the following included activities before your return home:

Fell ViewPoint Snowmobile Safari

Duration: Three Hours

A snowmobile tour to a breathtaking vanage point on one of the fells close to the Davvi Arctic Lodge, with far-reaching view. Based on two adults sharing a snowmobile. Includes hot drink

Snow shoe Introduction

Duration: Approx 2 hours (walking tour only with guide).

This guided snowshoe tour is fun and simple way to view the spectacular scenery at a more leisurely pace a great introduction to an age-old means of traversing Arctic winter terrain. Includes hot drink.
