3, 4 & 7 NIGHT ITINERARY
Your Northern Lights break begins with a flight to Kiruna in Sweden, the Gateway to the Arctic. From Kiruna, you make the two hour transfer to Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando, Finnish Lapland, a spectacular journey, travelling through the majestic forests and passing countless frozen lakes before reaching the border. Your break includes full board accommodation in the surroundings of the Davvi Arctic Lodge and loan of an all-in-one thermal suits and boots.
NORTHERN LIGHTS SNOWMOBILE SAFARI (All breaks)
Duration: Two hours
An evening excursion when, with the night sky overhead, you head out through the wintry wilderness to a vantage point in the hope of seeing the fabled and magical Northern Lights. Two adults share a snowmobile. Includes hot drink.
NORTHERN LIGHTS FOREST TREK (All breaks)
Duration: One hour minimum
You will be guided on a walk through the forest to a spectacular viewpoint, from where you can gaze at the night sky, and you may be lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights dancing above the village. Includes hot drink.
CALL OF THE WILD HUSKY SAFARI (All breaks)
Duration: One and a half hours
An unforgettable adventure into the wilderness, pulled by your own team of beautiful huskies. Two adults share a sled and dog team. Includes hot drink.
REINDEER CAMP (All breaks)
Duration: Approx Two and a half hours
Learn about herding and lassoing reindeer from authentic reindeer farmers. Then venture into the wilderness on a reindeer sleigh safari. Includes hot drink.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKI SCHOOL & GUIDED SKI TOUR (7 night breaks only)
Duration: Two hours
The Davvi Arctic Lodge is a great choice for cross-country skiing. There are long wilderness trails, some groomed and illuminated, with one located next to the hotel. You will receive ample tuition before trying a short skiing trip. Not as complicated as it looks, healthy and great fun too.

KNIFE FACTORY (7 night breaks only)
Duration: Minimum one hour
SNOWSHOE INTRODUCTION (4 night breaks only)
Duration: Two hours
This guided snowshoe tour is a fun and simple introduction to an age-old means of transversing the Artic winter terrain. Includes hot drink.

Based on the Finnish side of the border with Sweden is a simple hotel steeped in local charm and character. Three choice of accommodation are available. You can stay in the hotel rooms, in timber cabins in the grounds, or in apartments at the Fell house - a converted border guard and customs house, a 150m walk from the main hotel, which once played a historic role in monitoring the nearby border.
