Imagine the thrill of guiding your pack of eager huskies through the beautiful Lappish countryside, then camping down overnight in a remote wilderness cabin.

3, 4 & 7 NIGHT ITINERARY

Your overnight Husky Expedition adventure break begins with a flight to Kiruna in Sweden, the Gateway to the Arctic. From Kiruna, you make the two hour transfer to Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando, Finnish Lapland, a spectacular journey, travelling through the majestic forests and passing countless frozen lakes before reaching the border. Your break includes full board accommodation in the surroundings of the Davvi Arctic Lodge and loan of an all-in-one thermal suits and boots. The rest of the time its off on the adventure of a lifetime !!!

OVERNIGHT HUSKY EXPEDITION
Duration: Approx One and a half days
A team of eager huskies waits to take you off on an adventure into Europe's last wilderness. As the paws of the dogs pound through the stillness and silence of the snowscapes, the safari brings you into unforgettable intimacy with nature. You'll take care of your team of dogs and help to prepare meals by a fire, as you spen one night in the heart of the forest in a wilderness cabin.

Please note: Wilderness cabins are basic (without electricity or running water) and with outside WC but very atmospheric, especially in candlelight with dinner cooking over a wood stove. Some have a wood-heated sauna. With little light pollution, the cabins offer a great chance to glimpse the Northern Lights. You may have to share the wilderness cabin with other clients who have booked the same excursion; please remember the cabins do not have private accommodation. What's more, everyone is expected to join the evening's activities, such as feeding the huskies or preparing dinner. It is all part of the wilderness experience. The minimum on an overight safari is two persons.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

There is a programme of shorter extras that can be added to your holiday. Obviously, the chance to do this is much less on the 3 & 4 night breaks.

Accommodation: Davvi Arctic Lodge, Karesuando

Based on the Finnish side of the border with Sweden is a simple hotel steeped in local charm and character. Three choice of accommodation are available. You can stay in the hotel rooms, in timber cabins in the grounds, or in apartments ate the Fell house - a converted border guard and customs house, a 150m walk from the main hotel, which once played a historic role in monitoring the nearby border.
